Wilsonville U.M.C. wedding

Rush Videos started out 2016 by capturing the Wilsonville U.M.C. wedding of Bari and Adam in Wilsonville, AL this past Saturday. Wilsonville, AL is one of those small towns that have the most friendliest people and a lot of southern charm. Although the first day of spring wasn’t for a few more weeks, the weather was perfect for the wedding day.

The Wedding

The Rush Videos staff arrived at Wilsonville U.M.C to setup and soon moved over to the Kellis family home, which also served as the reception site, to capture Bari and her bridal party getting ready. After capturing some bridesmaids getting makeup and hair complete, Bari soon stepped into her wedding dress and her bridemaids were so excited. Soon mom was over come with joy as Bari’s father did a first look to see the beauty of the wedding dress. With hugs and emotion running high, we knew the day was going to go well.

We soon moved back to the church to get into position as guests started to arrive and Adam started to get the groomsmen together. As guests signed in and the church bells rang, just a few moments later Adam and the pastor took their position at the alter area to await the ceremony to come. Grandparents and parents were seated followed by bridesmaids and groomsmen entering down the aisle as anticipation grew. Soon we were treated to the duet song,”Over and over again” which brought the wedding into prospective. The moment had finally arrived, everyone stood to their feet as Bari was escorted in by her father to meet Adam at the alter. The pastor welcomed everyone and began with an introduction and then read the words that began the wedding,”Who gives their blessings for Bari to be married to Adam” and Mr Rasco replied with,”Her mother and I”. Bari and Adam joined hands and the pastor continued with the traditional wedding vows and offering advice from 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 which is often referred to as the love scripture. As vows were read and repeated by both Adam then by Bari and rings exchanged they participated in assembling an unity cross as, “When I Say I Do” was sung. As Bari and Adam bowed their heads for closing prayer, the wedding party and family along with guests recited the Lord’s Prayer. And finally the moment everyone waited for had finally arrived, the pastor announced they were husband and wife and those five words were said,”You may kiss your bride”. All the groomsmen held up signs with the number ten on them rating the kiss as Bari and Adam were introduced as husband and wife as they made the way up the aisle out of the church.

The Reception

Following the wedding, everyone made their way to the reception at the home of Mr and Mrs Kellis located in the Fadora subdivision just a few miles from the church. Upon arriving, guest were treated to sounds from a live band with plenty of southern food buffet style with plenty of sweet tea and fresh lemonade. As everyone made their way around, soon they heard the band announce Bari and Adam in to share their first dance together as husband and wife. Next, Adam shared a dance with his mother and then Bari shared a dance with her father. The dance floor quickly filled with friends and family getting their groove on and dancing to all to familiar wedding reception music, the bridesmaids even got the father of the bride to show off some dance moves. As the night moved on, Bari and Adam cut both cakes and found time to greet guests and thank them for coming. All the single ladies and single guys gathered together outside for the garter and bouquet toss. Tradition has always been, who ever catches these items are the next to get married, we wish them luck. Bari and Adam enjoyed the remainder of their evening with friends and family before everyone wished them safe and happy honeymoon.

We would like to wish Bari and Adam the very best, and thank you for choosing Rush Videos to capture your Wilsonville U.M.C wedding day.
