What an exciting year it has been for Rush Videos! It seems we can’t keep the batteries charged fast enough for all of the events we’ve covered this year. Seems as though we are at a different venue each weekend. Speaking of different venues, we were honored to film the Sterling Castle wedding of Cindy and Zach last weekend.
The Sterling Castle wedding for Cindy and Zach was located in Shelby, AL right outside of Columbiana, AL and less than an hour drive from Birmingham, AL. With this wedding being the weekend before Halloween, we thought a castle wedding was fitting.
As we arrived, there was no doubt we had taken a step back in time. With a castle and draw bridge, somehow you had the feeling this was not going to be an ordinary wedding. With mascaraed masks laying around, the girls were getting ready as well as the guys in their own suites. As Zach got ready, we helped get him in place for the the bride and groom pre-meet. As Cindy came to meet him, Zach seemed overcome with joy and excited to see Cindy in her wedding dress. After a few moments alone, Cindy and Zach both were ready to get the day started. Pictures were being taken by Anything But Gray Studio as we were following them to capture some great footage. Bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as family were getting into the wedding spirit as wedding time drew closer.
The Sterling Castle Wedding
Guest began to arrive and found seating for the wedding. Soon Zach and the pastor made their way to the alter area, to await Cindy. Parents and grandparents were seated, then the bridal party made their way down. The moment everyone had waited for, the crowd stood to their feet to catch a glimpse of Cindy being escorted in by her father. As dad handed Cindy off to Zach the wedding vows began. After the ,”I Do’s” Cindy and Zach took a padlock and locked it onto a gate and threw the keys in the pond. This was to symbolize their love for one another and with that, the pastor told Zach,”You may kiss your bride”. Everyone clapped as Zach and Cindy made their way back up the aisle as husband and wife toward the reception.
The Sterling Castle Reception
Once inside the reception, everyone was given a mask to wear to celebrate the evening. As the wedding party was introduced in by DJ Shell, everyone made some noise as Zach and Cindy walked in to share their first dance. Zach and Cindy had a surprise, they came in and broke it down to, “Juju On That Beat” before finally slowing it down to the song “Hero”. Next, Cindy shared a dance with her father and then Zach shared a dance with his mother. A buffet of food started with a variety of items from fruit and salad, to Philly cheese steak sliders, pizza and mini crab cakes. The open bar got everyone in the mood for dancing and the family and guests hit the dance floor. Given it is a castle wedding, Zach and Cindy cut their wedding cakes with a true to life sword. After some cake and a few more dances, the time had come for the garter and bouquet toss. Cindy tossed he bouquet to all the single ladies and Zach threw the garter to the single guys.
Everyone lined up outside and formed a tunnel with lit sparklers. As Zach and Cindy made their way out and through the sparklers, the castle had a surprise for everyone. Fireworks went off from behind the castle, illuminating the sky with beautiful colors. While everyone enjoyed the show, Zach and Cindy shared a kiss, then called it a night as they left for the honeymoon.
We wish Zach & Cindy the best as they begin the next chapter in their lives. Thanks for choosing Rush Videos for your Sterling Castle wedding & congratulations.
